The freedom of Design is derived from four stages of development specifically for the Elderly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Speaker<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Mr Lau Langeveld was a member of the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft, The Netherlands. Since his retirement in 2011, till 2021 he held the position of guest assistant professor at the TU Delft. He has visited (CP)DM, IISc twice for half a year for his sabbatical, and held workshops in Sapporo, Japan, and Beijing, China twice, in addition to those in Vellore and Bangalore in India. Recently he held a creative Workshop at IIH Guwahati on working with clay during January 2025. He has published a number of peer-reviewed papers in conferences and journals and has two book chapters. His hobbies include sculpturing, gardening, bicycling and writing a PhD Thesis!
