Prof. Satish will be formally inducted into the Academy and conferred the Fellowship during the INAE Annual Convention 2026, scheduled to be held from 3\u20135 December 2026 and hosted by ISRO at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC), SHAR, Sriharikota.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>The INAE Fellowship is a significant professional recognition, honouring outstanding contributions to engineering and technology. Sustainability and how to reach Sustainable Development have been his passion, and his research has always kept these goals in mind.<\/li>\n<li>His approach has been to develop a \u201cclosed-loop cycle\u201d of the use of materials.<\/li>\n<li>His research in tribology, friction stir welding\/processing, metal forming, and development of eco-friendly lubricants is geared towards reaching sustainable development.<\/li>\n<li>He has published over 200 peer-reviewed Journal articles and chapters in books and 135 Conference Presentations and Papers.<\/li>\n<li>He also authored the course on Materials Science for the NPTEL program.<\/li>\n<li>He is on the editorial board of STLE Tribology Transactions, Friction (Springer), IJMechE J Journal of Tribology, and Tribology Online of JAST. He was on the editorial board of Wear and ASME Journal of Tribology.
