UTSAAH Laboratory

Universal Technology Solutions for Accessible and Affordable Healthcare Laboratory

Sameer Kumar Gautam

I am a Ph.D. scholar at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, working under the supervision of Prof. Manish Arora in the UTSAAH Lab.

My research focuses on ultrasound elastography and biomedical device design, with an emphasis on developing a hyperelastic strain elastography technique to measure fat and muscle content in the body. Additionally, I design hyperelastic tissue-mimicking materials and study biomechanical tissue modeling.
I hold a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Tezpur University, Assam, and an M.Tech. in Product Design and Development from MNNIT Allahabad. My research integrates experimental techniques, signal processing, and computational modeling to advance ultrasound-based diagnostics.
