Ansuman Sahu

I am a Doctoral scholar at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. I work under the joint supervision of Prof. Manish Arora and Prof. Sai Siva Gorthi.

My research focuses on developing In-process Techniques for eliminating residual stresses in Material Extrusion 3D printing particularly for high temperature engineering thermoplastics. My areas of interest include Polymers and composites, Computational modelling of additive manufacturing processes and Residual stress measurement. Through my research combining numerical modelling and experimental mechanics my goal is to enhance the reliability and scalability of additive manufacturing processes for industrial applications.
I completed my B.Tech in Industrial Design Engineering from NIT Rourkela and M.Des in Product Design and Engineering from Department of Design and Manufacturing (erstwhile CPDM), IISc Bangalore.
