Universal Technology Solutions for Accessible and Affordable Healthcare Laboratory

Aditi Nitturkar

I’m a curious engineer with a passion for making technology more accessible.

I hold double bachelor’s degrees in Mechatronic Engineering (Honours) and Computer Science from UNSW Sydney, where I first discovered my love for building things that make a difference. My journey has taken me from developing life-saving medical devices — like defibrillators and wearable ventilators — to teaching first-year biomedical engineering students how to bring their own device ideas to life. I’ve also worked with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Istanbul, exploring ways to bridge digital divides in underprivileged communities across Central Asia and Eastern Europe. Now at IISc, my master’s research focuses on creating an automated and streamlined tool for tracking the progress of stroke patients motor function as they undergo rehabilitation.
