Project Research Scientist – II (Non-Medical) – Instrumentation

 Responsibilities:

1. Investigate ultrasound instrumentation and low-cost sensor integration
2. Develop initial designs
3. Develop and test prototypes for functionality and reliability
4. Work on hardware-firmware-software integration
5. Participate in pre-compliance and regulatory compliance testing

Requirements:

1. First class post graduate degree, including integrated PG degree, with three years experience or PhD. OR
2. Second class post graduate degree, including integrated PG degree, with PhD and three years experience OR
3. For engineering/IT/CS – First class graduate degree of four years with five years experience.

• Experience with electronic-mechanical product development
• Basic understanding of electronics and mechanical design
• Hands-on experience with sensors and hardware prototyping
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Project Research Scientist – II (Firmware)

Responsibilities:

1. Develop embedded firmware for [ microcontrollers (C/C++)
2. Implement I2C/SPI/USB protocols for hardware-software integration.
3. Develop and test prototypes for functionality and reliability
4. Work on hardware-firmware-software integration
5. Participate in pre-compliance and regulatory compliance testing

Requirements:

1. First class post graduate degree, including integrated PG degree, with three years experience or PhD OR
2. Second class post graduate degree, including integrated PG degree, with PhD and three years experience. OR
3. For engineering/IT/CS – First class graduate degree of four years with five years experience.

• Experience with electronic-mechanical product development
• Knowledge of medical device standards
• Expertise in STM32 or equivalent and low-level driver development.
• Expertise in Device to Device communication protocols (I2C,SPI, USB)

Project Research Scientist – II (AI – Medical Imaging)

Responsibilities:

1. Train ML/DL models (Python, TensorFlow)
2. Optimize algorithms for edge deployment on low-cost devices.
3. Support deployment of AI models on edge devices.
4. Validate models with clinical ultrasound datasets.
5. Evaluate models on field-collected ultrasound data.

Requirements:

1. First class post graduate degree, including integrated PG degree, with three years experience or PhD OR
2. Second class post graduate degree, including integrated PG degree, with PhD and three years experience. OR
3. For engineering/IT/CS – First class graduate degree of four years with five years experience.

• Strong background in Medical image processing, Computer Vision, Deep Learning and real-time data processing.
• Experience with Python, OpenCV, and PyTorch/TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of regulatory pathways for AI in devices is a plus.
• Experience in clinical/field deployment is a plus.
