Prof. Manish Arora
Dr. Manish Arora is an Associate Professor in the Department of Design and Manufacturing, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. His research areas of interest include the design of biomedical devices and multi-material additive manufacturing.
He is the Principal Investigator of UTSAAH Lab, which aims at developing affordable and accessible medical technology solutions for promoting universal healthcare.
He obtained Ph.D. in applied Physics from the University of Twente, The Netherlands (2006) and B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (2002). He worked at the University of Oxford, GE Global Research and Nanyang Technological University before joining IISc in 2015. He has got 100+ research publications and patents to his credit. He is also co-founder of Open MedLabs Pvt. Ltd. and Periwinkle Labs Pvt. Ltd.
He teaches courses on Sensor and Transducers, Mechatronics, and Design of Biomedical Devices and Systems at IISc.
