Characteristics of sensor; Digital and Analog sensors; Sensing Position, Velocity and Acceleration<\/p>\n<p>Week 4: A\/D conversion &amp; Signal Conditioning<\/p>\n<p>Week 5: MEMS sensors, Ultrasonics sensors and actuators (Piezoelectric transducers), Pizeostrective transducers.<\/p>\n<p>Week 6: Shape memory alloys and devices<strong> 1st Mid Sem:16<sup>th<\/sup> Feb 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Part II: Motion Actuation (MA)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Week 7: Motion and Motion &#8211; Conversion<\/p>\n<p>Week 8: Load analysis for actuator selection<\/p>\n<p>Week 9: Electro-mechanical energy conversion: Magnetism Review, Magnetic Circuits vs Electrical Circuits<\/p>\n<p>Week 10: Solenoids and Stepper motors<\/p>\n<p>Week 11: DC and AC motors and servo-control<\/p>\n<p>Week 12: <strong>2<sup>st<\/sup> Mid Sem Exam (TBD end March)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Part III: Control of Mechatronics Systems (ARC) (TBC)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Week 13: Signals and Systems: Description and Classification of Signals, Mathematical operations on Signals, Properties of Signals and Systems, Functional &amp;
