Quantitative Assessment of Neuromotor Developmental Delays using Wearable sensor networks in Infants

About Me

Sandeep Krishnaveni Thirumalai is a Biomedical/Electronics&Communication engineer holding both undergrad and master’s degrees from Anna University, Chennai. In 2017, he undertook a project at DEBEL, DRDO, Bangalore, focusing on the development of lower extremity exoskeletons for military personnel. He was working as a Biomedical engineer in a reputed Hospital firm in Chennai, before he embarked on this Ph.D. journey in 2018. He is passionate about bridging the gap between technology and healthcare, showcasing a commitment to innovative and cheaper solutions in the biomedical field. His research aims to design a multi-parameter based neuromotor evaluation tool for infants and children using recent technologies which emphasizes on early detection of neuromotor developmental delay or defects, with associated quantitative values to provide a user-specific rehabilitation in patient progression.
