A team comprising the MDes students of DM, IISc: Ishita Agarwal, Maitreya Keni and Ashutosh Saini, mentored by Prof. Vishal Singh won the RuTag logo design competition organized by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India (PSA). The Office of the PSA, announced a Logo Design Contest for the Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG) to shape the visual identity of RuTAG through unique logo designs.
RuTAG is an initiative of the Office of the PSA since 2004. RuTAG, supported by the Office of the PSA, was conceptualized as a mechanism to provide a higher level of S&T intervention and support for rural areas. Under this initiative, the interventions are designed to be primarily demand-driven, focusing on bridging technology gaps at the grassroots level, upgrading technology, and providing training and demonstrations through innovative projects.
All the logo design entries received were assessed by the Office of the PSA for final evaluation and were judged based on the elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit, visual impact and its relevance to the RuTAG initiative. The winning entry will be rewarded a cash prize of Rs. 25000 along with a certificate in recognition of their achievements from the Office of the PSA, Govt. of India.
